The official opening of the $830,000 Tweed Coolangatta AFL Facilities marks the culmination of a project that was initially just a concept over four years ago. Despite facing numerous obstacles, including the onset of COVID-19, construction finally commenced, thanks to the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved. With support from the City of Gold Coast, AFL Queensland, Queensland Sport and Recreation, and the diligent work of Business Development & Construction Manager, Paul Coughlan, the project was successfully completed. This achievement serves as a shining example of community resilience and solidarity during challenging times.

The completion of the project underscores the commitment of Eximm Sport to delivering on their promises to the community. The presence of Youth Affairs Minister and Member for Gaven, The Honourable Meaghan Scanlon, and Councillor Gail O’Neill at the official opening further highlights the significance of this milestone. With the new facilities in place, the club is poised for many years of success, providing a valuable asset for the local community to enjoy.
